Japanese electronics manufacturer, Sanyo has created a device ‘cooker bread’. This device can change the grain of rice directly into the bread.
Rice is usually only can be processed into rice. Even the rice cooker current device can be easily found on the market. However, this time trying to innovate with the launch of Sanyo bread cooker in Asia.
This machine can mix a cup of rice grains into rice flour. Then, rice flour is processed again with a mixture of water, adhesives commonly used to make glutinous rice, yeast, and other ingredients used to bake bread. All preparations had to be turned into bread in just over four hours.
“This bread cooker Gopan named, comes from the word ‘Gohan’ which means rice and Spanish ‘pan’, which means bread. Later on this new machine will be marketed in Asia next year, after it first launched in Japan in October,” says spokesman Sanyo talk Liu Yingying, as quoted by the Straits Times, Thursday (07/15/2010).
According Yingying, Sanyi is very keen to export this machinery to Asian countries such as China and Southeast Asia, which still has a rice farm in the country and even make rice as a staple food. The machine itself will be marketed at a price USD774 to USD928.
Sanyo believes if this machine will increase the consumption of rice and change the eating habits of a person.
According to data from industry, the market for ‘home bakery’, or cottage industries that use bread making machines, increased dramatically in Japan in recent years, and shipments rose 30.7 percent in 2009 from the previous year to 438 000 units.
