Electronic Arts finally agreed to use the method of payment in the form of virtual currency in every game they are present on Facebook.
This Agreement will last for five years into the future for EA games on Facebook as ‘Pet Society’ and ‘Restaurant City’. Currently more than 200 million members of Facebook social networking certainly play games every month.
EA’s second game is even included in the list of 10 most popular games. These games that are made by Playfish, EA has acquired a year ago worth USD400 million.
After this agreement, within the next five years, EA gamers must use a virtual currency, called up credits, in every transaction made in the social networking game, especially in any purchase of virtual goods that exist in EA game . From the results of the use up credits, EA will get 70 percent of sales while the rest fall into the hands up.
“The game has come together and become the most popular categories of applications on Facebook. This is our latest step to expand cooperation with the up and 500 million users,” says SVP and General Manager of Interactive EA, Barry Cottle, as quoted by the Straits Times.
Following this cooperation, EA rumored plans to develop the game ‘Monopoly’, ‘Pogo’, ‘Scrabble’ and ‘Boggle’ into Facebook. Some of EA’s popular game the other is the ‘Rock Band’, ‘Madden NFL10′ and ‘The Sims’. EA is the second largest game developers in the game up, still less with Zynga.
