After waiting so long, Microsoft finally confirmed the date of the birth of Internet Explorer 9 (IE9), which falls on March 14, 2011.
As quoted from Neowin, IE9 will be released at the event titled ‘Beauty of the Web’ at the SXSW event in America. Microsoft also confirmed the public would immediately be able to download the final version of IE 9 starting at 21:00 local time.
Users who have downloaded the previous beta version will be directly updated to the final version automatically.
Basically IE9 bring some new changes such as support for the HTML5, Direct2D, DirectWrite graphics hardware acceleration, and enhanced features in CSS3 and standardization SVG2. As a result it would make IE 9 ‘run’ faster and lighter, not least with its competitors.
In general, slightly more IE9 certainly going to appear more smooth when opening the site with support for HTML5. This is all because of the GPU in the computer potential has been maximized by this browser to get the maximum speed.
