Having acquired a Hewlett-Packard, Palm seeks to bring the latest innovations in products handset output. Palm Developer Advocate, Josh Mainacci Palm promised to reveal a futuristic gadget out the latest version based WebOS.
The remark was made at a meeting Marinacci Mobile application developers AT & T as reported by Yahoonews.
However, Marinacci reluctant to describe specific gadgets that will be issued by the Palm. “I’m not allowed to talk about road maps, because we now have under the HP, it’s true we were preparing for a gadget in the future and of course by using the latest OS, and you will find interesting gadget next year,” said Marinaci.
Not yet known whether these forms of gadgets will shape the future of smartphones or other gadgets such as tablet computers. Because, when acquiring Palm, HP Chief Executive Mark Hurd said that HP’s acquisition of the Palm does not mean that HP will go into the phone business. “We bought the Palm is not because we want to enter the smartphone business, we bought it for the intellectual property,” said Hurd.
HP is rumored to be using a WebOS to other devices connected to the Internet, such as tablet computers, printers and other devices beyond the phone.
However, many market analysts predict that HP will continue to encourage Palm to release smart phones, given the iPhone and Android competitors dominate the market.
