It is no longer a secret that Hewlett-Packard was so eager to bring the tablet operating system based WebOS. However, the question is, what is the name tablets?
No news has been mentioned that HP was seeking trademark protection for the name “PalmPad”. Rumors are spreading faster and faster if PalmPad, became the official name of the tablets that first WebOS.
However, these applications all still vague, including on what device name it would be actually implemented or not. So that was launched through BizJournal, Tuesday (20/07/2010).
Previously, HP announced it would use the tablets based on Windows 7. Unfortunately, they were made instead to cancel the production. Afterward, the HP Tablet will reportedly use the OS Android.
Cancellation of the use of Android-based tablets was inseparable from the desire of HP that will fill all lines of their mobile device with a WebOS. This after they officially acquire Palm some time ago.
Before buying Palm earlier this year, HP said that Android was working on a tablet that should be available this fall. Now however, those plans have been canceled.
