Amazon Kindle announced that applications will be available for Android and Windows-based devices.
Kindle application built for Android and Windows tablet has a slogan ‘Buy Once, Read Everywhere’. This application will also be working on 3G Kindle, Kindle DX, iPad, iPod touch, iPhone, Mac, PC, Blackbery, and Android-based devices. Similarly, as quoted from Digital Trends.
“The Kindle is very light, friendly to the display resembles Pearl paper e-ink, and has a battery to power a full month. Created exclusively for reading. Many people buy two devices at once, the Kindle and tablet computers,” said Dorothy Nicholls, managing director of Amazon Kindle.
“We are very pleased to be supporting the tablet Windows and Android devices with applications Kindle. Whispersync of our technology allows users to more easily use, and can track a user’s last page read,” Nicholls added.
In the development of the digital reader market competition, Amazon can remain competitive by expanding the platform for the Kindle. Other competitors are made by Barnes and Noble Nook, iBooks application of the iPad, and Kobo Reader.
Meanwhile, the Kindle eBooks Store offers many options. They also allow users to buy it once and read eBooks on many platforms. Amazon also automates eBooks, would re-users can download these eBooks anytime.
