Seven (7) Tips on promoting you website

Tip one:  Search Engines

In submitting your article to the three major search engines you will alert the search engine to your website and this will encourage you website to be crawled.

Tip two: Link Exchange

Link exchange is an important part of getting onto search engines. This will encourage the search engines to look at your website and the amount of links that come into your website and the amount of traffic the site that you have link exchange with have. This is a good way to start if you are building a new website.  These link exchanges should be with sites that have the subject matter as yours.

Tip three: Website Directories

Website directories are another good way to get your site a higher rating.  It is better to only use a few website directories and you can do this yourself, because you will only need to list with a few because too many listing because this is not liked by the search engines.

Here are a few web directories, I am only recommending then because they were recommended to me.

Dmoz.com

Jayde.com

Exactseek.com

You will be able to find many more on the internet.

Tip four: Social Networking Sites

Social networking sites are a very powerful way of promoting your website.  This will bring traffic into your website and also develop back links back to your website.  Getting involved with social networking sites will promote your website whilst building relationships.

Facebook.com

Myspace.com

Twitter.com

I am not recommending them only suggesting, you could do some research and find a social Networking site that suits you, But I must state that these are very good ones.

Tip five: Article directories

Article directories is a great way of getting traffic to your website there is an increase in article directories that accept free articles.  When you submit an article to an article directory you are giving permission for your article to be reprinted, the good part of this is that you author’s details will go with your article and your website details, meaning that you will get links back to your website.

When writing you author’s bio make sure that your links and full url are included and that a good but short description about you and your company. Look at the other author’s bio on these sites to get and idea.

Ideamarketers.com

Ezinearticles.com

Articlealley.com

Articlepool.com

Goarticle.com

Articledashboard.com

Articlecircle.com

Articlecube.com

Articlesbase.com

There is much, much more and I could go on but I think you get the idea.

Constantly add more content to your site. Building up more content on your site is an extremely important part of search engine optimization. Search engines will visit you site and visitors will have a reason to revisit.

  12. You sure do know what youre talking about. Man, this blog is just great! I cant wait to read more of what youve got to say. Im really happy that I came across this when I did because I was really starting to get bored with the whole blogging scene. Youve turned me around, man!

  13. Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
