Intel officially released the third generation SSD product, the Intel SSD 320 Series. Based on 25 nanometer NAND flash memory, Intel SSD 320-replace Intel X25-M SATA SSD.
Intel SSD 320 is used for desktop and notebook users. Compared with conventional HDD, SSD have the advantage of more robust, lower power usage, to reduce the bottleneck processing speed of the PC HDD as boot up and open a file or your favorite application. Intel said that users who upgrade from the HDD to the Intel SSD can improve system performance up to 66% better.
Intel SSD 320 uses 3 Gbps SATA II interface and generate 39,500 random IOPS read and 23,000 IOPS random write. SSD also supports 128-bit AES ability to protect personal data. Availability of Intel SSD capacity is 320 including 40 GB, 80 GB, 120 GB, 160 GB, 300 GB and 600 GB.
